DEVINCO: Epilogue is finally finished.
Devinco: Epilogue takes on a great many of the 'issues' we here at the Fire Label take to be gaping oversights or glaring omissions-of-technique in the cinematic region of 'genre' storytelling. The following are basic points that outline our effort to create an atmosphere that is both complete and fairly unconventional.
- There can be no fear of darkness.
- No fear of colour.
- No fear of defying sanctimonious morality.
- And above all... no fear of revealing a character's true passions!
TRIALS & TRIBULATIONS:
Having completed the script in December of 2003, production began the following January 2004, and lasted a turbulent 8 months in which Murphy and his law were regular visitors. Most notably building a strong contempt for the local power company and their all too frequent power spikes during the rendering stage, setting the projected completion date back 3 months.
The production process went from Script Development to Concept Art to Mesh Building to Initial Storyboarding to Dialogue Recording to Storyboarding Proper to Animating & Rendering to Post Colour Grading to Final Sound Mixing & Scoring to Archiving to Happiness...
